Global warming and energy efficiency are top of the agenda for the 2007 edition, as new policies are being drawn up, and they will be of key importance for the future.

With 400 participants, 100 renowned speakers and international specialists, the International Forum is a leading event amongst the meetings organised by TIC21, and its partners. Bringing together businesses, local authorities, institutions, associations, NGOs, the media, universities, researchers and analysts, the TIC21 Forum will produce an unprecedented gathering of different groups.

TIC21 was founded with the conviction that new technologies and the information society are major levers in generating a development respecting the people and the natural resources.

New technologies offer hitherto a great opportunity for dematerializing exchanges, provided that they form part of an eco-efficient process, themselves. By making the advent of the information society possible, new technology is one of the keys to a new form of empowerment, making it possible for the society as a whole to be involved in the choices of a more responsible world. Sustainable development requires that the web society is broadly spread but at the same time remains accessible to all. Moreover, the environmental, health and cultural risks generated by the technologies have to be limited, so that new co-operations can be set up.

TIC21 has set itself the task of facilitating dialogue between the actors in sustainable development, new technology and the information society so as to promote the emergence of new solutions.

It is a unique occasion to exchange views, to share best practices, to discover services and technologies, to understand better French and European strategies, to meet major prime contractors in the institutional, the public or private sectors, or in the media.
